Elliott Wachtel

The founding partner of Wachtel Law has been practicing law since 1982.  He is licensed to practice by the California State Bar and has an emphasis on workers’ compensation law and personal injury.  Mr. Wachtel graduated with a J.D. from Golden West University and obtained his undergraduate degree from California State University, Northridge.  Elliott has been devoted to his clients and this practice for over 30 years.  Elliott’s expertise, experience and dedication to workers’ compensation shows in every case he takes on and the business he has built.  Elliott is determined to fight and win for each and every client no matter how big or small the case is.  Elliott’s reputation is one of prestige; he is known to pursue every case aggressively and passionately.  Elliott has been a member of the California Applicant’s Attorneys Association for over 30 years and has a good working relationship with attorneys, judges and clients and doctors.  Elliott was selected as one of the Top Attorneys of North America from 2018-2019.  Elliott has been married for over 40 years and loves spending time with his wife, two kids and two adorable grandchildren that he can’t get enough of.  His passions include cars, gardening, and sailing.


Sean Wachtel

Sean is a partner of Wachtel Law since 2013.  Sean graduated from the University of Michigan with an honors in Psychology in 2006.  Sean earned his J.D. at Loyola Law School, where he graduated Order of the Coif, Cum Laude. Sean began his legal career by practicing defense medical malpractice for three years at Lewis Brisbois, Brisgaard and Smith, where he learned the field of medicine and doctors’ practices.  This gives Sean an incredible edge in workers’ compensation since he is well versed in the complexities of medicine. Sean does not stop fighting for his clients until every wrinkle is ironed out and will not settle for a mediocre doctor’s report or settlement offer. Sean is very dedicated to his clients and fights for each case with as much passion, expertise and dedication as possible.  Sean’s knowledge of workers’ compensation makes him a dream to work with since he is always happy to explain and discuss the process of your case every step of the way.  Sean was honored as a Super Lawyer in 2015 and again in 2018 as a Rising Star Selectee.    In his free time he loves to spend time with his wife and two kids.  He enjoys playing tennis, soccer, skiing and rooting for the Michigan Wolverines.


Jessica Wachtel

Jessica is an associate at Wachtel Law.  Jessica received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison with a degree in Communications where she earned a spot on the Dean’s list in 2007.  Jessica then obtained her J.D. at Southwestern Law School where she placed 1st in her class’s negotiations competition and 8th in her class’s moot court competition.  During law school, Jessica’s focus was Entertainment Law where she interned at ABC studios in Business & Legal affairs and CMG Worldwide practicing licensing and protecting clients’ rights of publicity and publication.  However, upon graduating law school and passing the bar in 2014, Jessica decided to shift her focus and joined the family practice.  Jessica loves being able to help people in getting the help they deserve and tries her best to listen to her client’s needs.  In 2018, Jessica was honored as a Lawyer of Distinction.  In her free time, Jessica enjoys playing with her niece and nephew, working out, skiing, hiking and shopping!
